J.W. Anderson has found a new partner: Uniqlo. The two top brands have jointly created a Fall/Winter collection that consists of a mixture of typical British and Japanese elements. 33 pieces were designed – 19 for men and 14 for women. The collab-collection includes classic cardigans, pullovers, trench coats and more. But also gender-neutral accessories, striped scarves and carrier bags with tartan patterns aren’t missing in this collaboration. What’s special? The collection appeals to any man who’s got a thing for fashion. The collection is timeless, not put-on or outdated, but much more plain and good. Yes, it might seem surprising that Anderson would choose the Japanese brand Uniqlo as a partner. Both brands have more in common than what meets the eye. The philosophy of Uniqlo is clear: Simplicity and comfort. Uniqlo shares this mindset with Anderson, who gives the simplicity a hint of craziness.
Bottom line: J.W. Anderson has found himself the perfect Japanese guy for his newest cooperation. Good basic pieces that are far from being boring have been created through this interesting pairing.
J.W. Anderson and Uniqlo’s collection is available in stores and online as of September 20. Karim
